Construction Commercial Manager / Senior QS
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: GBP60,000 - GBP75,000 (Dependent on experience)

Role Overview:
As a Commercial Manager / Senior QS, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of projects, from budgeting to procurement and contract management. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll ensure that the company s projects are delivered within budget and on time, maintaining the company s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost control measures. Identify cost-saving opportunities and analyse variances to avoid potential issues.
- Procurement: Oversee procurement for materials, labour, and services. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best value and evaluate supplier performance.
- Contract Management: Interpret and enforce contract terms with clients and subcontractors. Manage variations and change orders while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Manage financial processes including applications for payment.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that financial performance aligns with company objectives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial role within the construction industry.
- Strong background in contract management, QS, or commercial project management.
- Experience or interest in innovative energy systems is a plus but not essential.
- Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control in construction projects.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Construction Project Management may also be considered.
