Transport Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to oversee our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a deep understanding of the construction sector. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient transportation of goods while maintaining high levels of customer service. The Transport Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Experience with asphalt & aggregates preferred.

Duties

• - Manage transport operation to agreed service level
• - Plan all customer requirements effectively
• - Ensure vehicle compliance including maintenance, inspections and repairs as required.
• - Plan drivers shift to maximise productivity and communicate at the same time ensuring smooth operation
• - Resolve any transportation related issues promptly and efficiently with clear communications
• - Prepare and report customer service levels
• - Manage POD requirements

Qualifications

• - 2 years of Transport Management Experience
• - CPC
• - Excellent communicator at all levels.
• - Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• - Computer literacy with the ability to use relevant software for transport management
