We're looking for a talented individual as a Senior Global Category Manager for Electronics, must have expertise and knowledge within semiconductors and alike.
Our global client, a key player in the automotive sector, is undergoing an exciting transformation and creating a centralised procurement organisation and this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a world-class global category management function.

Our client is a leader in the automotive industry, committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. As part of a strategic initiative, they are building a global category management function to optimize their supply chain and procurement processes.
As a Senior Global Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating, shaping and implementing category strategies for key direct electronics categories including semiconductors. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving impactful change. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a global transformation within the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will be involved, to varying degrees, with all aspects of the strategic sourcing process, including project planning, specifications development, supply market research, Supplier engagement, evaluation, selection, and new Supplier implementation. The Senior Category Manager, Electronics / Semiconductors supports strategic sourcing activities for assigned sub-categories of spend, capturing savings through purchasing volume, leveraging, negotiating price, and working capital
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Proven experience in category management within the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of direct categories especially Electrical with a key focus on semiconductors
- Demonstrated success in driving change and implementing strategic initiatives
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
