Transport Planner

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for organising and managing transport logistics to ensure timely and efficient deliveries while meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and optimise transport routes, assign drivers, and manage vehicle usage to ensure timely deliveries.
• Serve as the main contact for drivers, agencies, and customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Monitor vehicle tracking, ensure compliance with driver working hours, and handle any service disruptions or delivery issues.
• Coordinate and manage driver schedules and assist with vehicle maintenance planning.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across the site.
• Take on additional tasks as directed by the Transport Manager.

Key Requirements:

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal teams and external parties.
• Understanding of tachograph systems, driver regulations, and transport industry standards.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently as they arise.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring hygiene protocols are followed.
