Job Details

Newly created role for a Sustainable Construction Manager who will support the implementation of the Sustainability Framework through the development of sustainable products and solutions.

Working closely with global senior experts you will develop the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and regulation & policy relating to sustainable construction whilst supporting and advising in the evaluation of potential opportunities and impacts associated with product decarbonisation and market initiatives.

You will need to be comfortable representing the function in committee meetings, working with senior stakeholders to advise on the businesses position in relation to sustainable construction and support the move from sustainable product to sustainable solution design, evaluating scenarios to feed into the broader decarbonisation strategy.

This is a varied role supporting the business through its sustainable journey and requires both a high technical and empathetic skill set with excellent communication abilities.

Ideally you will have:

  • A deep understanding of current sustainability issues and opportunities supported by membership of external networks for best practice and knowledge sharing.
  • Bachelor´s or Master´s or other advanced degree preferred (e.g. Engineering, Business, Science) or equivalent job experience.
  • Good knowledge of construction sector supply chain, products, services, and customers.
  • Management experience, including proven ability to chair meetings and webinars with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in engaging with external organisations, government and non-government linked with construction and sustainability.
  • Expertise on setting-up and keeping control of networks involving both internal and external stakeholders and controlling knowledge transfer.
