Are you ready to lead and transform procurement operations at a renowned defence company?

A well known Defence organisation based in Reading are seeking an experienced Lead Commercial Manager to work a high-impact role for 18 Months, with a focus on procurement operations and transformational leadership.

This role requires active security clearance and offers a unique opportunity to shape procurement strategies, enhance P2P processes, and leave a lasting impact in a dynamic, high-impact setting.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and management of procurement transactional and service centres.
  • Drive excellence in P2P processes, leveraging your technical expertise and operational know-how.
  • Manage procurement operations in complex, globally focused environments.
  • Build, lead, and inspire high-performing teams to deliver on strategic goals.
  • Address and navigate governance challenges inherent to public sector operations.


Essential Skills:

  • Active SC or DV clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up or running procurement transactional/service centres.
  • In-depth knowledge of P2P processes and operational procurement (Requirements and technical "know-how")
  • Strong experience with Oracle ERP systems (SAP experience a bonus).
  • Ability to excel within complex, regulated environments.
