Senior Construction Procurement Consultant (NEC Contracts - Major Infrastructure Projects)

Location: UK-Wide (Flexible) | Global Infrastructure Consultancy

Remuneration: £60,000 - £75,000 + Benefits

Senior Construction Procurement Consultant, Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and advise on procurement strategies for major infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring alignment with NEC3/NEC4 contract frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on multi-billion-pound projects, providing expert advice on contract management, risk allocation, and supply chain optimization.
  • Manage and mitigate procurement risks through early warnings and compensation event management, keeping projects on track and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring transparent, collaborative project delivery.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, advising clients on best practices in construction procurement to drive efficiency, innovation, and value.

Senior Construction Procurement Consultant, What You Bring:

  • Proven experience as a procurement professional in the infrastructure or construction sectors, with substantial experience working on NEC contract-based projects.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing procurement strategies for large-scale infrastructure projects, from highways to rail, energy, and utilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and provide pragmatic, value-driven advice.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working seamlessly with diverse project teams, clients, and partners.
  • MCIPS qualification (or equivalent) and a deep understanding of UK public sector procurement regulations is preferred.
