Buyer Spares, Capex, Engineering, Mechanical, PPE

A support services business requires a Buyer with experience of; engineering spares, PPE, mechanical equipment, chemicals/lubricants, and Class C components to support global engineering customers.

The Buyer will be responsible for procurement of capital goods and engineering spare parts to support large scale construction and infrastructure programmes. The Buyer will be both customer and supplier facing - understanding customer requirements to execute procurement on their behalf. In essence, the Buyer will be presented with a shopping list of items to procure.

Specific duties of the Buyer (Engineering Spares) include:

• Customer Account Management
• Compiling Quotations on behalf of customers and convert to sales orders
• Negotiation with suppliers - obtain discount, favourable payment terms, prices etc.
• Supplier Management
• Investigation of new suppliers and supply chain partners

Buyer (Engineering Spares) applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Procurement experience in the areas of; engineering spares, mechanical items/packaging, CAPEX, PPE etc
• Ability to negotiate with customers and suppliers, while relationship building
• Confident telephone manner
• Entrepreneurial spirit and commercial acumen
• Organised and detail focused
