The Rail North Partnership is a unique collaboration between the Department for Transport (DfT) and our client, which is transforming rail services across the north of England.
We are achieving this through joint management of the Northern Trains Ltd and TransPennine Express service agreements. The role puts you at the forefront of change, providing expert advice to senior leaders and helping to bring the partnership s wide range of stakeholders along on the journey.

With the DfT s plans for widespread industry reform on the horizon and TfN s ambition for better connectivity between our cities, you will steer a course through this complex landscape to lead on the strategic direction of RNP s communications and stakeholder work.
What we re looking for:
You will be expected to ensure all work and outputs are executed to meet the requirements of relevant business strategies, creating a working environment where the train operating companies are motivated to deliver the required outcomes; holding them to account where this does not happen.
The successful candidate will have considerable experience in ?contract management, managing the real time interface, commercial, financial, business planning and contractual relationship of large-scale contracts, in addition to considerable knowledge of the transport industry and the relevant external environment (legislative, regulatory, best practice standards etc.).
You will have a proven track record in leading the management of a number of programmes which contain a range of complex projects and you must also have theability to understand and communicate the Department/Rail North Partnership strategic objectives to the rail industry.
Candidates must possess a relevant postgraduate/professional qualification in a commercial discipline such as CIMA, CIPS or equivalent.
