Our client is currently looking for a Deputy Commercial Manager with a background in the hospitality industry to join the award-winning Commercial team. This is a great opportunity for you to develop your career in this sector of the industry!

About you:

They are looking for a dynamic forward-thinking individual to become part of the management team. You will play a key role in supporting the Head of Commercial (Venues & Events) in the day-to-day operation of the SU Commercial operation, providing management cover for events and deputising in their absence.

You will lead, coach, manage and develop a team of enthusiastic commercial services staff and coordinate a large pool of casual staff to effectively resource the commercial outlets.

As a Students Union department, they run a diverse program of events throughout the year as well as a successful bar, food, and Starbucks operation. Regular events include pub quizzes, cocktail nights, and games nights as well as two weekly club nights in their 1200 capacity night club. They also host the Students Union large-scale events such as Fresher s Week and the Summer Ball.

Further information:

You will work an average of 36.5 hours a week (5 days over 7 on a rota) to suit business needs, including day and evening shifts. Some evening shifts finish as late as 4.00am and day shifts will often start at 7.30am.
