A hugely successful business in Runcorn has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, qualified Commercial Finance Business Partner to join its team.Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance you will be responsible for your own entity of the business and managing a small team of newly qualified and part qualified accountants.

You will be a crucial part of the business, ensuring the production and control of all financial information, along with strategic planning to ensure all business needs and deadlines are met.

You will play a pivotal part within the team, adding value through production of monthly reporting and short and long-term forecasting. You will have excellent commercial acumen and be focused on business partnering to support your business area by modelling financial scenarios enabling sound business decisions. An attention to detail, along with strong analytic skills will be essential in this role. The ability to be able to translate financial information for the needs of your stakeholders will also be essential.

As Senior Commercial Manager / Finance Business Partner your role will be:

  • Liaising with senior stake holders across the business.
  • Preparation of the budget, quarterly forecasts in compliance with internal guidelines and timescales.
  • Production of monthly flash reports.
  • Reporting monthly key performance data to the Finance Director.
  • Development of functional KPIs
  • Working with local management, production of fully supported budget and successive forecasts for allocated business streams and cost centres.
  • Supporting local management in controlling and managing the costs within budget.
  • Monthly reporting.
  • Liaise with MI team on sales reporting.
  • Development of companies reporting systems
  • Preparation of month end management reporting
  • Production of monthly sales reports and models
  • Price variances (analysis and correction where required)

To apply for the role, you must be:

  • Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Commercial experience is essential; manufacturing / logistics is ideal
  • Ability to work on own initiative and develop proactive solutions to business problems.
  • People management and leadership skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Good commercial skills and awareness.
  • Strong Communication Skills
