Are you an experienced Food Buyer / Senior Food Buyer with a "Can-Do" attitude?

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Buyer to join a business with a first-rate reputation in their sector. Through close partnerships with their trusted suppliers, they deliver the highest quality fresh and frozen food products to the finest restaurants, hotels and retailers in London.
As a Senior Buyer within the Purchasing and Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for team management, order processing, forecasting, supplier relationships and data management of our cuisine range within the UK.
The Role:
Overall category management.
Work closely with the buying team and sales management to review stock holding, conduct range reviews and implement changes.
Take ownership of, develop and enhance key supplier relationships.
Formulate forecasts, negotiate prices and monitor stock levels.
Devise and maintain supplier KPIs.
Identify and implement new suppliers.
Effective management of company stock holding in order to meet net working capital target.
Inbound logistics management via third party partners based in Europe.
Identify opportunities for productivity and cost savings
Support the Purchasing Manager as needed, maintaining the day-to-day operations of the department when the manager is absent.
What we are looking for:
?? Minimum of 5 years experience in a supply chain/purchasing role with a comprehensive knowledge of the foodservice industry.
?? Organised with an excellent eye for detail
?? Excellent communication and negotiation skills
?? Experience in working with multiple suppliers.
?? Able to build strong internal and external relationships.
?? Passion for high-quality produce and cooking
?? Strong IT Skills particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
?? Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system an advantage
?? Language skills, particularly French, Italian or Spanish, would be an advantage (but not essential).
In return for meeting the above criteria you will be rewarded with a starting salary in the region of GBP35-37K plus Bonus (up to 10%) plus a whole host of employee benefits.
