Are you passionate about building strong relationships, and experienced in managing key supplier relationships?The NHS SBS team has significant NHS and commercial expertise across all categories of spend, bringing fresh ideas and tried and tested models. Our CIPS qualified staff are also supported by expertise across the NHS SBS business in finance, HR and IT to name just a few. Within this talented and progressive team, the successful candidate will assist in the provision of transaction processing services to one or a number of clients.This is a hybrid role with the requirement to be in the Salford office once a week. What you will be doing:

  • Processing work in line with agreed procedures, business rules or scripts - Processing work could include making calls, answering telephone, emails, queries, taking messages or processing transactions.
  • Learning the procedures and understand parameters of producing a quality output, liaising with internal/external clients and maintaining records for audit purposes.
  • Resolve queries and escalate as necessary (i.e. a team leader/manager/other group) and log if appropriate.
  • To schedule and prioritise allocated work daily, ensuring deadlines are met including printing/posting data/reports/invoicing daily.
  • Distribute information and when required, work to the other team members or groups as well as maintaining and updating information held on a data base or manually.
  • Identify and suggest areas of improvement- and supporting line management on any additional admin when required.

What you ll bring:

  • Able to work in a team or other structured environment
  • Articulate and able to maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Experience of a previous admin role, procurement experience not essential
  • Quick learner of systems and the desire to progress
  • Knowledge of Microsoft package, experience of using spreadsheets
  • Ability to use initiative without direction

It would be great if you had:

  • Have ability to navigate around and understand use of relevant systems e.g. Oracle/SAP
  • Be able to understand and work with numbers at an advanced level
