Pyramid8 is supporting another fantastic local award-winning family run business. With nearly 150 years farming experience, moving into their 5th generation, this family continues to evolve their offering and constantly adapt within an ever-changing climate. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Buying Assistant to join the team.

This is a varied and fast paced role which includes but not limited to, creating point of sale price tickets, for the farm shop including checking for missing labels. In addition, you will check for price changes and margins and print new labels as required. You will also update the back-office system with information on allergens, ingredients, and price changes, along with new product information. Each week, you will collect Food Safety sheets from across the different business areas, such as the shop, caf??, butchers, and deli, reviewing the data and filing accordingly. It will also be your responsibility to liaise with suppliers and new suppliers enquiring about potential new product lines and conduct stock reviews each 6 months. As you will be office based, you will be expected to answer incoming calls and email enquires regards events and function bookings.

You will be a detailed orientated person, with a high level of accuracy. You will work within a fast-paced environment, where plans can change at the drop of a hat, so you must be adaptable and be able to re-focus.

We would be keen to speak to those that have come from a Buying Assistant background, within the fresh food industry, with knowledge of costings, price changes and food allergen labelling, including Natasha s Law.

This is a full time and permanent opportunity, working predominately Monday to Friday, with the flexibility around evenings/weekends to suit business needs. You will be working 40 hrs per week, with an hourly rate between GBP11 - GBP12 depending on your experience.
