Fantastic Exeter based business with a global reach seeks supply chain logistics professional for new role in its growing organisation. Working in the Supply Chain team the role is responsible for the replenishment of the group key warehouses for a specified number of vendors and associated portfolio of parts. Supply base is worldwide and therefore international trade knowledge is desirable.
The position will manage the whole procurement process from PO creation to receipt exception management to ensure timely receipt and high fill rate achievement levels. This role would suit a recent graduate or someone who already has experience in purchasing and supply chain. The role is also hybrid with the ability to work from home 3 days a week
- Ensure that all purchase requisitions are approved and converted to purchase orders in an efficient and timely manner
- Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Resolve or escalate inbound supply issues to relevant departments and/or management
- Keep records relating to the key stages of each procurement activity
- Ensure data integrity with our system landscape
- Support product launches and promotional activities by ensuring sufficient and timely stock availability
- Interpret departmental KPIs to ensure exceptional performance
- Be the first port of call to resolve all critical supplier issues and work with procurement management to
- implement strategies to avoid issues reoccurring
- Support the review, development and implementation of processes and procedures necessary to ensure a continuously smooth supply chain
To be chosen for the role you must possess the following skills/experience:
- Ability to work under own initiative as well as within a team to meet targets and deadlines
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills, mainly in MRP systems, mainframe ERP and Microsoft Office
- Previous experience and knowledge of purchasing is essential.
Package:
- Salary GBP23,000 - GBP27,000 + benefits
- Company Pension Plan - Employer contributions of 6% (with min of 3% employee contributions)
- 25 days paid annual leave + bank holidays
- Membership into the company medical insurance plan (80% subsidised)
Working Hours:37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday - hybrid working 3 days from home
