A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for a market-leading organisation in their specified field as a Buying Assistant. They are currently seeking someone on a Maternity fixed term contract with the anticipated end of contract approx. August 2023.
Job Description:
This role will be responsible in purchasing of raw materials and ensuring all orders are within Budget.
As the Buying Assistant, you will be placing orders for raw materials ensuring you are ready for production
Reading Bill of Materials ensuring all items are in stock
The Buying Assistant will negotiate pricing and maintain relationships with suppliers
Chasing back-orders and managing minimum stock levels with Production
As the Buying Assistant they will be conducting stock check and associated reporting
Dealing with queries over supplier and customer deliveries
The Buying Assistant will deal with despatch within the UK
Working closely with Directors, Engineers to ensure all jobs are completed within budget and timescale Candidate Requirements:
Having worked within a similar role within a Manufacturing function
Experience in using SAGE 50 or similar software
Competent in using Microsoft
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Self-driven
Positive and motivational attitude Hours: Monday -Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm Friday 8:00am - 2:30pm
Salary: GBP23,500 DOE Pro Rata
