Uckfield based company. Opportunity to also work one day per week from home if required.

We are delighted to be assisting our very established and successful Uckfield based client as they seek to recruit an Inventory and Purchasing Executive on a full time permanent basis.
The role:
UK based but with a Supply chain across Europe and Asia meaning purchasing from suppliers around the world.
You will be responsible for improving Inventory control and stock value as well as being responsible for some areas on Purchasing.
Duties include:
To analyse stock and find ways to improve stock control processes whilst making sure that there are no stock shortages in key production lines
To work with the quality manager on stock with limited shelf life to limit stock write offs.
To liaise with external suppliers to ensure that purchased products are available to meet customer orders and that all orders are completed in full and then dispatched on time to meet agreed delivery dates
To work with the business to minimise costs in terms of stock holdings and distribution costs.
To develop and maintain good working relationships with external suppliers.
To maintain accurate an database within the ERP system ensuring correct stock parameters.
Qualifications required:
HND or higher in relevant Business Management, Supply Chain Management, purchasing or CIPS membership.
Experience required:
Must have worked within a Manufacturing operation with Stock control and purchasing experience.
Knowledge required:
Stock control
MRP/MPS
Logistics and supply chain
Competencies / skills required:
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to form and build relationships with people all over the world to collaborate with a diverse range of contacts to identify and resolve problems
Prioritise own work to meet business priorities and able to influence others to meet desired outcome.
Strong computer skills and competency in MS Office applications especially Excel.
Additional requirements:
Must have a full driving licence and own vehicle
Be willing to travel both in the UK and abroad which may result in staying away from home for short periods of time.
