We are currently working with a market leader in the technology industry who are seeking a buyer to join their procurement team covering a maternity leave. This is a great chance to work for a industry leading company and gain experience of buying within the technology industry
Buyer Responsabilities:
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer will support the Procurement function in achieving the objectives required to deliver a value for money supply chain
Planning and procuring a range of Finished Goods, Components and/or Raw Materials within assigned portfolio of suppliers
Ensuring that the supply chain is capable of meeting or exceeding business expectations by effective supplier management and continuous improvement.
Buyer Skills:
You will have a minimum of 2 years' procurement experience within Procurement and Supply, having developed relationships across a variety of suppliers..
Experience in a manufacturing environment would be helpful too but not essential.
Ideally you will be degree educated in a relevant subject. A CIPS qualification, or working towards this, or qualified by experience will be advantageous. You will be proficient with MS office, particularly Excel and have experience of using MRP/ERP systems.
You will also hold a UK Drivers License
