Our Client a leading Healthcare provider are in search of a Logistics Operations Manager working totally remotely to join their growing business!

JOB PURPOSE

To lead, manage, develop and grow the designated team and services such that they meet and exceed internal targets, external standards and revenue/margin goals through effective management and leadership of the immediate team and engagement with support services. This must be done in accordance with local, regional, UK & company strategies & governance protocols alongside current regulatory standards. It will require effective patient, people, financial, customer, and change management skills.

The role holder will be reflective in thinking and outlook and be able to source advice and support from the wider AML team to cope with multiple demands of the role.

Level of Autonomy

The role holder has a medium degree of autonomy and is able to make decisions regarding operational activities and the execution of tasks.

Core Responsibilities:

Operations

Responsibility for site setup and service delivery in relevant business area, all documentation to be regularly reviewed in line with GDPR and records retention, relevant risk assessments completed and communicated as required

Liaise with relevant departments to facilitate maintenance of equipment, to achieve optimal operational conditions

Contribute to the business areas medium and long term strategy to develop business performance and develop long term partnerships

Complete reports as directed to ensure accurate collation of KPIs

Ensure sound knowledge of site RIS systems - both AML and local to ensure all data is recorded in an accurate and timely manner

Employees must be aware of the responsibilities placed on them under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and any subsequent relevant legislation and must follow these in full at all times, including ensuring that they act in line with all agreed procedures at all times in order to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff

Ensure team's education of and compliance current AML Policies and Procedures, Local Rules and extant legislation; highlighting any changes to operational protocols, procedures and SOPs within own area

Responsible for team's mandatory training compliance

Conduct incident and complaint management in an appropriate and timely manner

Actively participate in departmental audits

Responsible for contribution to and actions arising from compliance audits including Quality Assurance Reviews in accordance with company requirements

Leadership / Management Responsibilities

To recruit, select, manage, engage, coach and develop the team in line with company procedures such that the mobiles achieve their agreed goals

Management of performance review cycle and career development of team members

To assist with the supervision, coaching and mentoring of staff (not limited to direct reports only)

To maintain effective resourcing of the mobiles through staff planning, rostering, training, management of absence/holidays and implementation of appropriate controls in conjunction with Resource Planning

Management of incident, complaint and disciplinary investigations as appropriate

Financial Responsibilities

Understand the business area budget performance and targets

To understand and report the key trends for sites/contracts within area of responsibility

Manage / review team's timesheets and expenses in line with policy & budget

Ensure the full team understand the company's performance and are all aligned behind common goals.

Working with the Head of Mobiles & Resource Planning Manager

Customer Relations & Contract Development

To maintain and develop strong working relationships with customers & host sites

Provide regular feedback & reporting on performance of the service to the host site management

Undertake & document regular service reviews

To ensure adherence to contractual terms

To ensure that appropriate review meetings are timetabled and delivered in line with contractual expectations. Maintaining records of meetings against which follow-up actions must be measured

To lead and manage the team in building contacts and relationships with existing and potential new referrers covered by existing contractual arrangements

To support the Business Development Manager in introducing new contracts and bringing on new referrals sources

Within area of responsibility to maintain up to date, and in depth, knowledge of the contracts impacting on the imaging services under operational control

Managing Change

Demonstrate a problem solving approach to issues arising at a local level, highlighting areas of concern to the appropriate personnel and actively participate in the subsequent change management process

To lead key changes for your service, contributing to and implementing new strategies using structured methods including project management methods in partnership with other functions as necessary

Experience:

Experience of managing a team

Experience in developing customer relationships

Logistics or Transport Background

Enhanced DBS clearance required

Full driving license essential

Flexibility to operate across multiple sites
