They have been continuously present on the Formula 1 grid for 38 years and have been used on 34 Formula 1 drivers and 33 constructors championship cars
Job Purpose
The main purpose of this position is to:
Achieve competitive advantage through efficient and effective purchasing
World-class inventory planning and management
Main Responsibilities
Manage supplier selection and Initiate quotes
Manage purchase orders and supply chain function from order to on-time-delivery
Build and sustain excellent relationships to achieve lowest-cost-inputs and timely supply
Participate in supplier-quality-evaluations
Participate in Supplier Quality Manual development
Inventory management
Update inventory to ensure stock levels are kept at appropriate levels, updating MOQ (minimum order quantities) and current supplier pricing
Drive price reductions where possible and appropriate
Skills and Abilities
Be meticulous, methodical and accurate with excellent attention to detail
Be flexible and adaptable in approach to work with the ability balance competing priorities
Must be able to work well as part of a team and to tight deadlines
Technically aware - able to work in: highly technical specifications, multiple units of measure (imperial, metric), as well as multiple currencies
Ideally, experience of working in a manufacturing environment with high quality standards
Highly numerate
A natural leader and agent for positive change / improvement; with a "can do / will do" attitude.
Continuous improvement (kaizen) and intelligent relentless pursuit of perfection (kodawari) approach.
Report with clarity and brevity, supported by analysis, that drives rapid continuous improvement.
Self-discipline, pragmatism, practicality.
Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
Proven ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Proven ability to prioritise own workload and that of others, as required.
Languages an advantage (German, French, Spanish...)
