You will be joining a relatively new procurement organization that has grown exponentially since being brought back in-house just a few years ago and is now making a tremendous impact throughout the global operations of the business.

As the EMEA Procurement Category Manager for Utilities and Capex you will play an important role in driving the company's global sustainability pledge by delivering more green and renewable energy to the Energy portfolio and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

You should have a strong knowledge of the European Energy and Gas markets, preferably with experience in hedging and market risk, to ensure the business is protected in times of rapidly changing energy costs. You will be responsible for a growing spend that will total up to €50M in annual spending across all European production facilities.

To be effective in the role of EMEA Procurement Category Manager for Utilities and Capex, you must have the following skills and experience:

  • A passion for world-class procurement that not only delivers cost savings but delivers risk management, sustainability and an ethical supplier base
  • Subject matter expertise of Energy, Utilities and related Capex with a passion for renewable and green energy
  • Strong knowledge of energy market risk and how to set-up and effective hedging strategy
  • Knowledge of how to negotiate local Power Purchasing Agreements (PPAs) for Wind, Solar, and other energy sources
  • A proven ability to create, implement and execute robust category management strategies at a multi-national level
  • Exceptional supplier management skills including supplier consolidation, creation of preferred supplier program and supplier performance tracking
  • Highly commercial and analytical mindset to negotiate optimal contract terms and provide deep-dive analysis of procurement spend data
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills to drive procurements value and reputation across the global internal network
