Trainee in Marketing and Purchasing

Our client is a successful and well established retailer with over 300 stores nationwide. Due to significant growth they are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join their Commercial team and start their career in Marketing/Purchasing.

You'll be working as part of a dynamic team as a full time Buying and Marketing Assistant, supporting a fast paced commercial team with their daily operations.

Daily responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Marketing Manager with creating and checking leaflet content.
Placing orders and managing customs importation documents
Dealing with suppliers' delivery and stock queries as well as providing admin support to the buying team
Keeping accurate records and reporting on sales trends
Providing general admin and telephone support as required

The successful candidate will be:

An excellent communicator, strong Customer Service skills and confident in dealing with people at all levels
Strong organisational skills and able to work to deadlines
Good numeracy and literacy skills and excellent with all Microsoft packages and generally good at picking up systems and processes, although full training will be given
Experience with Adobe InDesign would be helpful but not essential

A degree or equivalent in any subject would be preferable, although not essential. What is important is your positive attitude and commitment to work hard and learn.
