My Client based in Speke, Liverpool are currently seeking a Buyer/Product Manager to join their Merchandising and branding team.

Job Purpose:

This role is to develop products by identifying and developing products, generating product pricing and developing and supporting marketing strategies to support the products and brand.

Main Duties

The range of duties of a Buyer/Product Manager is wide and will be expected to include:

Work with suppliers to establish best price throughout the range
Oversee supply chain through every stage of product development
Co-ordinate all projects under the brand daily including range planning, idea generation and bring products to launch
Travel to trade shows and factories internationally
Co-ordinate product launch within key selling periods and production of catalogues and sales literature
Brief marketing team on key directives for each season
Study sales figures analysis on a regular basis and report monthly
Stock promotion on regular and special purchase products
Management of product sell through including slow selling lines
Work with purchasing and stock management team on a regular basis and in particular on new products
Work with sales team to present new products and in particular with key buyers
Develop all key literature for the brand and all new products for customers and the sales teams
Demonstrate success through sales of new products, new customers or savings on products through new sources
Experience required

Deep understanding of marketing principles
Knowledge of product development process and different departments associated with it
Accountability for products from creation to launch
Creative and innovative thinker and good writing copy skills
Strong analytical and project management skills
Proven Product Manager experience of developing and implementing brand strategy
Experience of managing brand guidelines, tools and templates
Similar creative industry experience developing products
Working with and alongside Sales teams and have customer facing experience
Experience working with Export Customers
