My client, a very well established logistics company is recruiting for a permanent export clerk to join them as soon as possible.
- Air - booking with Airlines, obtaining rates, creating Consoles, raising AWB s, raising Customs entries
- Road - booking with various Transport companies, raising Customs docs, booking via the GVMS.
- Sea - getting quotes directly from the Shipping lines booking shipment, raising SeaWaybills , completing Customs entries.
Detailed knowledge of Customs procedures, regarding HS Codes, CPC, restricted goods Licences and dealing with DG / Hazardous shipments
Monday to Friday
Work and monitor Export consolidation programmes
DG check for all DG shipments prior proceed with booking - this is to avoid last minutes issues and then communicate with shipper/ vendors to erase the flaws identified.
Manage carrier related ops issue .i.e. roll-over / / shut -out spot and advance bookings formalities, EDI and etc.
Quotes to network / agents and self- routed customers - ensuring that quotes goes out same day and negotiate with vendors / customer to secure the business
Meet and supervise European export docs and compliance process - this is a key area after Brexit for any export to EU from UK.
Experience within export related escalation
Knowledge of DAP or DDP shipment
Good communication
Check DG / temp control shipments to see all clauses are mentioned as required to avoid any issues
Well versed of customs entries and compliance issue
Experience in B2C and B2B communication
