The Procurement Specialist will report in to the Procurement Lead and will:


  • Lead on most activities needed to run the client's own procurement function within Professional Services & IT services categories.
  • Support the Procurement Lead with strategic projects and objectives that enable our portfolio companies to grow and leverage the advantages they can secure from the Client.

  • Leading on activities to run the client's own procurement function will include:

    Manage procurement requirements for the team.
    Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal project teams to ensure procurement supports deliver of business objectives.
    Receive requisitions and demands, negotiate with suppliers and manage new supplier onboarding in accordance with their Procurement processes.
    Support finance function with Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) process, new vendor creation, PO creation and invoice receipting.
    Negotiate terms and conditions, renewals, and other contractual documents with their suppliers, working in tandem with the legal team.
    Help identify and lead the implementation of continuous process improvements.
    Support the Procurement Lead in leveraging client commercial agreements, relationships, tools & systems.

    Supporting the Procurement Lead with strategic projects for their portfolio will include:

    Support Procurement Lead to develop best practice processes / policies / contracting mechanisms / systems within our portfolio companies to ensure governance, agility and growth.
    Support the negotiation of terms and conditions and other contractual documents in partnership with their portfolio companies.
    Support the Procurement Lead in new investment due diligence when required.

    To tackle the above, they will need you to bring:

    Procurement & Supply Chain experience in large corporates with innovative and agile approach to procurement and/or in start-up, VC/PE environment.
    A broad range of experience relating to all phases of the procurement lifecycle, with specific emphasis on outsourcing, negotiation, supplier management, risk management and contracting.
    Innovative and creative problem solving skills.
    A data driven approach.
    An ability to network internally & externally and stay engaged via industry publications, conferences & events.
    Influencing and clear communication skills.
    Successful track record of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    Ability to manage all elements of complex projects from requirements definition to development and implementation and work on multiple tasks in parallel.
    An entrepreneurial mindset: willingness to dig in and work in a self-guided hands-on way.

    The contract status is 'Inside IR35'.
