We are currently looking to recruit a Procurement Business Partner / Senior Buyer at our clients location in Crewe. 6 month contract - this is a full time position- rates based on up to GBP52,000 for 37hrs per week - 4.5 days per week - hybrid working arrangement

Purpose of the job
The Procurement Business Partner will facilitate interaction and collaboration between our IGS (Indirect Goods & Services) Category Teams and the business unit assigned to them. They will be the focal point of IGS purchasing related contact within the organisation and will be supporting the implementation of category projects that deliver real and sustained impact. They will also track the savings in each regional site of their responsibility. At the same time, they will be a key player in developing the IGS organisation and its capabilities both within the business and with our suppliers.
Your Key Accountabilities:
Liaise between category management and site stakeholders to promote IGS value, support Business Unit budgeting, facilitate understanding of BU needs with the category teams, and solicit local engagement to category strategies and projects.
Act as a point of escalation for the dedicated Team and support the Category teams in their allocated projects. Will be accountable and responsible for enforcing the implementation and execution of company processes and tools for the allocated projects. Furthermore, is accountable for the implementation and execution of strategic PSC and Transformation Initiatives within the scope.
Collaborate with category management teams to develop sourcing projects and drive local implementation and value realization of global and regional projects.
Manage and monitor project implementation in the BU performance, develop corrective actions with category teams and suppliers as required
Ensure that risk management and compliance standards are rigorously applied in the BU.
Lead issue resolution activities and develop corrective actions with category teams if required
Contribute to delivering savings and cost reductions as committed to the bottom line of the company

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge
University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent disciplines.
Ideally, at least 6 years in procurement and strategic sourcing
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Substantial interaction and engagement with stakeholders at all levels
Experience of working within a Global organisation an advantage
Well-developed influencing and stakeholder management skills

Experienced problem solver
Focused and value driven
Previous experience of a manufacturing environment and / or MRO & Services procurement
Sourcing expertise including tendering and contract award
Track record of driving supplier monitoring and KPI improvements
English: fluent
