MCIPS qualified IT Procurement Manager - Renowned Educational Institution - London & hybrid working - £50-58k + Package
Recognised as one of the finest higher education institutions in the world, this prestigious organisation have recently devised a 5-year strategy for the growth of their, already established, procurement function. Managing the largest spend area for the business, the successful procurement professional will be given full autonomy to mould the IT category in their own image and develop long-term strategic relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, playing a key role in the overall development and progression of this established procurement team
Procurement Category Manager Responsibilities:
- Managing a large spend across IT Procurement category whilst driving continuous improvement
- Develop new strategies for business development and reporting to senior members as to how the company can grow the procurement function
- Negotiate, and create relationships with, internal & external suppliers whilst developing a strong network for each particular market
- Conduct deep research into IT category and identify how you can generate savings across them
- Manage stakeholder relationships - ensuring a positive working relationship is in place
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record of managing spends across IT and other indirect categories
- Previous experience working in an established procurement function
- Confidence when engaging with senior stakeholders and managing directors
- Thrive in a vibrant working environment, relishing the opportunities of working in a close-knit procurement function
- Degree educated (or equivalent)
- MCIPS is required to successful in this role
