Buyer/procurement specialist (Steel/construction)

We are looking for a Buyer/procurement Expeditor to join our amazing steel works company in the beautiful location of North Yorkshire. We carry out all contractual work with equal priority, from contracts starting around the GBP500,000 mark through to major work packages valued at GBP6m plus. we cater to jobs both big and small but either way 100% quality is assured. come join our amazing family now.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Procurement activities

* Supply Chain co-ordination

* Progress monitoring

* Cost control

* Liaise with production planning

* NC data coordination

* FPC (CE marking) verification

* Report to the Operations Director

* Order all steel material for fabrication

* Order all steel material for Sublet fabrication

* Order all buyouts and Sublet fabricators

* Co-ordinate buyout, cambers, studs, plate girders etc with production requirements

* Upload NC data for main fabrication packages

* Order gas / consumables / PPE etc.

* Monitor and report on costs / values against tender budgets

* Co-oordinate deliveries to site for sublet fabrication

* Co-ordinate with works managers on production planning and schedules

* Audit material reservation to ensure FCP is achieved
