Buyer

The Company: A highly successful and growing highly regulated manufacturing business is currently recruiting a Buyer to join their team.
The Role: Reporting to the Head of Procurement and Supply
* This role focuses on spend categories that are identified as key areas of cost management for the business, and involves all aspects of sourcing, negotiating and supplier relationship engagement.
* Review and cost analysis across all site spend categories with a strong emphasis on cost reduction
* Raw material sourcing from a global supply base
* Developing working knowledge of various aspects of procurement, including materials, engineering, services, Capex projects, consumable and indirect spend, facilities management
* Supporting our Materials Management Team with supply/supplier issues
The Candidate:
* Ideally CIPS qualified
* Able to demonstrate a successful track record in purchasing
* Experience of supplier relationship management
* Flexible approach
* Minimum level of education to GCSE (Mathematics and English)
* Experience operating in highly regulated environment would be an advantage
