Operational Buyer

Responsibilities:

Working within a set of approved suppliers to purchase for a chosen category
Liaising with internal demand and planning to forecast supply
Chasing suppliers and ensuring on time delivery remains high
Reporting any lead time changes internally and managing flow of communication
Vendor reporting
Purchasing of either Bought in Finished Goods (BIFG) or Indirect categories
Responsible for both small expenditure and large

Operational Buyer

Essential Experience, Skills, Qualifications & Ability:

SAP/MRP/ERP Experience
Proven experience in operational purchasing activities

Desirable Experience

Demonstrated experience of working in a manufacturing environment in a similar industry where on time supply is critical
Experience purchasing BIFG or responsibility for an indirect category
SAP experience highly desirable
