A fantastic opportunity has arisen to spearhead the purchasing process of products and services for all our care homes based in Shropshire, Cheshire and the Wirral.

We're looking for candidates that have had previous experience in a Buyer/Purchasing role and who has strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills with multiple suppliers. You need to have agood working knowledge of Microsoft packages, like word and excel and be able to complete spreadsheet reviews.

Excellent Benefits:

* Salary: GBP27,000 - 30,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

* You will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms, while building a culture of long-terms procurement costs.

* You must ensure that you are compliant with statutory obligations and ensure that you maintain absolute confidentiality in line with our Data Protection Policy.

* Strategic management is crucial so that you can deliver maximum value to the business whilst monitoring and minimising risks.

* 6-month reviews or monthly reviews with senior management must be held to ensure an integrated approach and strong communications and relationships.

Main Duties:

1. To source products and raise and place orders from placing weekly consumable and cleaning orders to monthly stationary orders in line with specific cost, quality and delivery targets.

2. Monitor monthly orders, so that you can highlight any issues early on and prevent them from causing a greater risk to the company.

3. You must review, monitor and analyse all current and new contracts to ensure that we are being cost effective and making continuous improvements for the company.

4. You will be responsible for reviewing different areas such as Utilities / energy which will include gas, electricity and water bills. In addition, reviewing all contracts such as insurance and maintenance contracts where you will ensure we get both best value and terms

5. Analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
