Purchasing Planner required for career opportunity within the Supply Chain department of a world-leading manufacturing company based in Bracknell Berkshire. Our client is going through a period of substantial growth and it's an exciting time to be coming on board with new warehousing and the development of a new SAP / ERP system just some of the changes underway. They're looking for someone with drive and passion, who can communicate with all levels of staff to take on this broad and interesting position.
Core Responsibilities include:
* To drive the Purchasing of materials to feed the production environment.
* To monitor, analyse and manipulate stock level reports to understand usage trends and assess future demands.
* To understand the limitations, strengths and weaknesses of the production site to evolve the planning method permanently.
* To work closely with Procurement to establish the best suppliers and sources for materials.
* To build strong business relationships with suppliers and other external entities.
* To work closely with Marketing on new product development.
Key Skills & Attributes Required:
* Previous Purchasing Planning experience.
* Advanced Excel skills
* Self-motivation and a sincere, enthusiastic approach.
* A problem-solving mindset and excellent organisation skills.
* A great work ethic, enjoy engaging with people, like variety and be very customer / team focused.
