Senior Buyer - Indirects/Services

We are looking to connect with Senior Buyers who are wanting to progress their careers with a FTSE 100 organisation. IT experience preferable but other indirect category experience will be considered…

We are looking to speak with ambitious, motivated Senior Buyers who have experience in Technology sourcing, or would like to progress their career in this direction.

Our client is a FTSE 100 organisation who are going through an exciting time of growth.

They have a number of open roles across Technology and Technology services and are looking for commercially minded candidates who can bring some previous experience in buying/Procurement, and a great attitude towards learning.

You will either have some previous experience in IT sourcing (Software, Hardware or  Services), or have an interest in moving into a Tech buying role.

You will already be able to:

• Contribute to the development of basic sourcing strategies, including identifying risks, key outputs and deliverables.

• Liaise with and manage suppliers.

• Build relationships, influence and act as an expert across the organisation up to senior management level.

• Lead sourcing and negotiation for low to medium spend - new agreements or renewals.

• Engage the appropriate business stakeholder or vendor manager to get PO raised.

• Support Category Leads or Category Managers with SRM activities, manage allocated supplier relationships.

• Keep abreast of market and industry developments. Able to make recommendations on alternate sources of supply to inform specifications.

A CIPS qualification and experience of working in Financial Services or a similarly regulated environment would be beneficial.
