Vacancy: Purchasing Buyer

Location: Exeter, Devon

Salary: GBP28,500 per annum

Interaction Recruitment are seeking an experienced Purchasing Buyer to join their esteemed electronics manufacturing client based in Exeter, Devon on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Purchasing Buyer has a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of the product supply chain through on time order management and maintaining continuity of supply and working closely with the Strategic Buyers to deliver the best OTD KPIs and mitigate any potential delays.

Main Accountabilities:

Manage day to day category procurements

Running MRP daily

Placing forward purchase orders

Placing manual non-stock coded purchase orders

Keeping purchase orders updated with confirmed delivery dates

Managing vendor open order books

Escalating supply chain delays to Strategic Buyers for a quick resolve

Working closely with the Senior Purchasing Buyer on time saving efficiencies

Ensuring compliance with the procurement policies

Promoting an environmentally protective and health & safety conscious work environment

Professional experience:

Procurement experience

Highly IT literate (SAP experience preferable)

Strong planning and prioritisation skills

Excellent communication skills and all levels and formats
