A brand-new role has been created for an experienced Category Manager with our client, a world leading home textile business in Oldham who supply beautiful products to major retailers. Their customer base is hugely impressive, and this role is working on their key customer account, so we're looking for a superstar to take on this role.

You'll work with a strong, dynamic team, we're looking to find a driven person who will lead this team as the Category Manager. Is this you?

About You:

• You will have previous category management experience gained from home textiles, homewares, fashion - we're quite open to your product background.
• You'll be able to lead, develop, motivate, and mentor the team.
• You'll have strong commercial acumen, including negotiation and project management.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• IT proficiency is essential with advanced skills within Excel.

As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Exceeding customer expectations through understanding both business's needs, product ranges and the wider homewares market into clear, actionable plans.
• Nurture, develop and deepen customer relationships.
• Work with Product and Design teams to develop winning product ranges.
• Negotiate product and pricing details.
• Undertake gap analysis and identify opportunities to introduce new products and promo options.

• Regular meetings with customer to update on performance and forward planning.
• All related account admin tasks are complete.
