Talent Drive have partnered with a Global Technology Business to recruit a Senior Category Manager to manage all elements of Contingent Labour & Professional Services, c.£200M annual spend, where you be tasked playing a lead role in the success of their people and transformation teams. The business are at the start of a harmonisation project which will entail vendor rationalisation across Contingent Labour whilst managing a direct report.

What the role involves

Driving the sourcing strategy and ensure value for money can be demonstrated both internally and externally

Responsible for sourcing, bidding, negotiating, awarding and service implementation with direct communications to vendors and in-house stakeholders

Implement new category management methodology and develop robust supplier relationship models, delivering long term partnerships that deliver sustainable value

Identifying, communicating and implementing strategic sourcing opportunities, ensuring that key strategic suppliers/partners are utilised, well managed and best practices are leveraged

The person we hope to find

Demonstrable experience in Contingent Labour / People Services procurement, with examples of delivering exceptional value from supplier relationships through means of developing category, budget, and supplier strategies.

Advanced partner management skills – we’ll want to see your aptitude for negotiation and consultation in a highly demanding environment, with often conflicting interests!

Proven track record in translating business requirements into appropriate sourcing strategies that maximise value whilst aligning to business needs.

Educated to university degree level preferable

Ideally relevant business qualification. CIPS Corporate Diploma in Purchasing and/or membership of The Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply
