Insight Executive Group are working in partnership with a Central Government department who are looking to recruit a Commissioning Manager on a permanent full-time contract with a starting salary of up to GBP62k (with a market supplement of up to GBP7k)

Our client manages the lifecycle of the buildings together with proving advice and assurance to the Project Delivery and Maintenance groups and has a core of expert in-house staff providing continuity, direction and support to colleagues, consultants and contractors, and represents the estate with key external bodies. The post holder will be responsible for managing the integrated commissioning plan and schedule, ensuring equipment is tested, commissioned, and put to use in a timely and effective manner, and handover records are accurate.

The successful Commissioning Manager will be responsible for:

* leading the commissioning team and providing technical assurance that the commissioning process is being accurately followed and tracked

* supervising the Project Delivery and the department (Architectural CoW's, Project Leaders and external contractors and consultants to provide Mechanical & Electrical commissioning leadership).

The successful Commissioning Manager will be able to demonstrate:

* A Degree in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering discipline

* A Chartered or Incorporated membership of professional engineer body such as CIBSE, IET or IMechE

* experience in the commissioning management process and how you have applied this on a large and complex estate

* experience of reviewing technical information through the project life cycle, including documentation at handover

* experience of successfully leading the technical assurance process on construction projects and using analytical techniques to understand complex issues and make strategic decisions

* experience of technical authoring, where you have developed technical reports and standards and presented to high level technical and non-technical stakeholders

* understanding of NEC contracts and the implications for commissioning, handover and post occupancy activities
