Job Title: Junior Buyer / Purchasing Assistant
Location: Blackburn and Darwen area
Salary: Up to GBP27,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities
?? To manage key categories of the procurement function
?? Negotiate the best prices with key suppliers
?? Full accountability for managing and maintaining supplier performance
?? Delivering PPV targets
?? Identifying continuous improvements and cost saving exercises
?? Managing and maintaining supplier terms and supplier stocks alongside the supply chain ordering team
?? Overseeing project management of delivering a the tender process
?? Supporting with admin duties such as maintaining forecasting information, item card set up and management
Profile
* 1 year of experience within buying or purchasing (desirable)
* Good understanding of business and project management, purchasing management (desirable)
* Excellent organisational skills
* Well-rounded negotiation skills and commercial acumen
* Strong analytical and numerical skills
* Budget planning
* Great interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships internally and externally
* Independently manage own workload
* Proactive approach
* Good IT skills
