Are you an experienced senior procurement professional looking for your next challenge?Perhaps wanting to make the move from the private to public sector or experience a new area?We are looking for a Senior Category Manager to lead our Health category and support an enthusiastic team of dedicated category professionals.You will be comfortable working in a regulated environment and focussed on creating, delivering and managing complex framework agreements; designed to satisfy current client demands and meet future needs. You will help develop key strategic plans to generate solid growth pipelines across your portfolio. A confident communicator, you'll build and manage internal and external stakeholders and develop strong supplier relationships.If you are looking for real career satisfaction growing a successful team and helping the NHS and wider Public Sector achieve some ambitious goals, we want to hear from you!What you will doing:

  • Creating, developing and managing a category portfolio of OJEU compliant Framework Agreements
  • Leading a Health Team and Category Managers, mentoring, supporting, and managing a small team of buying staff of different levels
  • Developing and implementing short and long-term category strategies
  • Contributing to and managing category work plan achievements
  • Driving uptake of portfolio across the landscape, working alongside key support teams including: Innovation, Implementation, Marketing and Consultancy
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to influence procurement choice, aiming to drive costs down and quality and service up
  • Negotiating relevant framework agreements with the supplier base on relevant portfolio, ensuring that all aspects are covered within the category from a product, service, and stakeholder basis

What you will bring:

  • Degree or equivalent
  • CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply or alternative Technology institution with comparable qualification
  • Professional procurement (in-house)
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Categories
  • Understanding of Clinical Procedures

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience and knowledge of working with the NHS
  • PRINCE2
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
