This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Buyer to join an established business. Salary GBP30k - GBP38K depending on qualifications/experience.
THE ROLE:
- Managing a Team
- Performance measurement of an operational team, sized to support business demand
- Create / build, define and deliver Supply Chain KPI's
- Raising of PO's against project requirements
- Deliver compliance to the Document Control Process (DCP)/Pre-Supplier/Vendor Vetting (PVV) process that exist within Supply Chain
- Manage the Tender/Bid process (proposals evaluation, negotiation, supplier selection, orders placements and delivery for requirements (value to be defined)
- Deliver a Compliant service that meets company Policy and Process.
THE CANDIDATE:
- Experienced Senior Buyer
- Good level of computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- A basic knowledge of reading drawings
- Proactive approach
- Good confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage the time and working requirements of a team to ensure that critical business needs are met at all times
