GBP330-GBP440 pd PAYE/GBP450-GBP550 pd Umbrella - 18 Month Contract - Remote with occasional travel to Paddington and Slough.

Our world renowned FMCG client are currently recruiting for a senior strategic operations buyer to join their globally expanding team. This role manages commercial operational and strategic sourcing activities in the EUCIS region in order to create end-to-end business solutions for marketing goods and services in the indirect sourcing area for several sites and countries across various segments.

Responsibilities:

Manages indirect goods & services spend (Shopper marketing) in line with commitments to the business and as per the sourcing strategy by applying a wide range of sourcing and project management tools (e.g. negotiation, tenders, strategic collaboration, project management etc.)
Implements business/ commercial strategy: implements the Shopper implementation plan including managing the transition of business to preferred suppliers, negotiating commercial agreements, running tenders and setting up & monitoring new processes in line with the Program strategy.
Ensures effective risk management of the current supply base including where applicable managing transition plans to new suppliers, through robust contract management and monitoring of financial and other KPIs. Implement corrective actions as appropriate & manages all related commercial, financial & ethical aspects of projects
Establishes & maintains relationships with business stakeholders including across marketing, sales, supply, R&D, S&OP, finance and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge in order to drive alignment and deliver the business strategy in partnership
Provide input to and execute Global & Regional strategies (MSSM) & other major workstreams
Acts as the liaison between the business and the sourcing manager to communicate changing business needs (e.g. specification, volume changes, etc.)
Carries out supplier performance reviews on a regular basis and implement the supplier relationship management planRequirements:

3. Sourcing Category Expertise - Essential
4. Stakeholder & Business Partnering - Advanced
5. Supplier Performance Management - Advanced
> 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within a marketing & sales indirects procurement role with experience of supplier relationship management
