Our client who are a well-established professional services firm are in the market to recruit a Category Specialist within the HR & Professional Services space. The role which will be part home and office-based will require the incumbent to have come from or have previous experience within HR/ Professional Services or Generalist Categories.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Building strong rapport with stakeholders and suppliers during the procurement and service delivery stage
  • Manage all procurement activity which includes 3rd party spending within the specific category
  • Taking full ownership of all projects as required
  • Conduct supplier negotiations for contract and supplier agreements
  • Maintain supplier performance reviews

Experience required:

  • Previous experience within indirect procurement with the ability to cover multiple subcategories.
  • Experience in managing end to end procurement and supplier management.
  • Excellent negotiations and contract tendering.
  • Excellent IT and numeracy skills.
  • CIPS qualification is desirable.
