Job description
Location:
Available at both - Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge and Malling
Primary role:
As a Driver you are responsible to lead your team, manage resources, coordinate activities and provide an effective waste collection service.
Hours:
42.5 Hours with potential for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
?? To follow safety instructions and drive in a safe, lawful and efficient manner
?? Adhere to Road Traffic Legislation
?? Carry out vehicle checks daily
?? Report any defects to the Supervisor immediately
?? Perform duties in a courteous, clean and efficient manner
?? To carry out any other such reasonable job related tasks as the Company may require you to undertake from time to time.
Key Knowledge/Qualification:
?? Knowledge of current transport legislation (Road Traffic Act 1988) including (Working time Directive)
?? Experience of driving vehicles in a commercial environment
?? Have local knowledge of collection route
?? HGV driving experience, up to date Driver CPC and a Digi Tacho Card
?? To be able to follow management instructions
?? Good communication skills
?? Full Driving Licence
Desirable characteristics:
?? Experience in working within the waste industry
?? Have local knowledge of collection route
?? Able to work in a team
?? Honest and trustworthy
?? Able to work in a team and under own supervision
The duties and responsibilities highlighted are indicative and may vary over time. The post holder will be expected to undertake other duties and responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and extent of the post and the grade that has been established on this basis.
