Senior Buyer
Location: Teesside
Salary: GBP50,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30m - 16:30pm
Type: Full time - Permanent
Duties:
Accountable for developing and implementing procurement strategies for engineering service contracts
Evaluate bids, formulate enquiries, and negotiate with suppliers'
Provide and advise the organisation on the most effective contract styles to minimise and manage residual risks and potential cost escalation during execution and ensure effective procurement processes are in place for contracts.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers by serving as a single point of contact for contractual matters, manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation and communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders and provide both internal and external contract-related issue resolution.
Develop KPIs to drive contract improvements
Provide commercial management support to contract users, during the execution phase of the contracts.
Deliver appropriate training to colleagues in the areas of contract forms, enquiry generation and Scope of work writing to raise general commercial awareness levels across site.
Drive the implementation of continuous improvement plans concerning processes and systems within the Engineering Procurement stream.
Requirements:
Degree in Supply Chain/ Logistics/ Manufacturing/
Procurement experience
Strong SAP and Excel skills
Team Management experience
Strong negotiation and supplier performance management skills.
