Buyer

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer is responsible for the managing the global supplier base and procurement of all raw materials. There is a strong emphasis on communication and the ability to liaise with internal departments and external suppliers.

Description

The Buyer will have the following responsibilities:

Managing a global supplier base
Sourcing new suppliers
Identifying opportunities to make cost savings
Effective maintenance of the MRP systemProfile

The successful candidate for the Buyer role will ideally have the knowledge in the below areas:

Negotiation
Materials for manufacturing (MRP)
Semi-advanced / advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of Import processes
