As one if the UK's leading supplier of promotional merchandise, my client has an enviable record of partnering with some of the worlds largest brands and they are now looking for a buyer to share their success due to expansion!
The ideal candidate will have experience of purchasing promotional items from UK and European importers, wholesalers ad manufacturers, through to bespoke item development with factories in the Far East. No product is the same, no two days are the same, making this the perfect opportunity for someone who loves a challenge.
* You will source the most appropriate suppliers for each brief in order to deliver the optimum combination of capability, price, lead time and quality.
* Gain a thorough understanding of customers, their brands and their requirements.
* Work with account managers and clients to provide complete buying support.
* Proactively manage costs in line with required profit margins and budgets.
* Manage the product development process accurately and ensure a full document trail is available for tracking.
* Raise formal purchase orders through the order processing system.
Experience:
* Experience of managing projects directly with Far East manufacturers is essential.
* You will ideally have experience of buying promotional merchandise
* Confidence to challenge, influence and persuade suppliers.
* A keen interest in technically driving the development of bespoke projects
