If you are an experienced Buyer this is an ideal opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Rail company based in Staffordshire. They are currently seeking an International Buyer on a permanent basis as the company continues to expand and grow within the industry.
As an International Buyer you will be on a salary of between GBP38000 & GBP45000 per annum dependant on experience, working day shift Monday to Friday. This will also include a yearly performance bonus as well as other benefits.
As an International Buyer you will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement of material, consumables and contracts, CAPEX, and leases to support our international production team. This position develops and administers the supply chain for the international fleet maintenance requirements & depot requirements.
This position is responsible for negotiating pricing and terms and in conjunction with the Procurement team and will assist in the implementation of procurement contracts.
As an International your role will include various tasks such as:
?? Minimise defects and warranty costs from the international workshops by building strong supplier relationships.
?? Ensure efficient utilisation of resources.
?? Proactively monitor and review the internal processes to identify improvement opportunities.
?? Support the implementation of leases and contracts to support the business
?? Provide guidance on purchasing process
?? Source goods and services for the business
?? Raise orders to obtain goods and services
Competencies Required:
?? Ability to evaluate supplier capability for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
?? Ability to interface with engineering, production, and quality assurance with an understanding of the locomotive design and function.
?? Relevant experience gained in commercial and rail component procurement.
?? Experience in working in high pressure environments whilst maintaining process.
?? Experience with contracts and commercial documents.
?? Experience with leases & contract negotiation & management
?? Experience in international procurement.
?? CIPS or working towards.
