Group Procurement Manager | Global FMCG Brand
London
£50,000-£60,000 + 20% bonus + hybrid working and some great benefits!
A rare opportunity has come up in the Procurement market for someone to come in and manage a broad range of indirect categories on a global basis, ranging across utilities, facilities management, equipment, travel, events, marketing, etc. for a well-known FMCG brand in London as they continue to develop their global function.
As Group Procurement Manager you will be tasked with developing and implementing global procurement strategies across a broad range of categories whilst being allowed autonomy as part of a small and agile procurement team.
What the role involves
Support the Global Procurement leadership in implementing the global Procurement strategy, building the case for change and being a partner of choice to the business
Define, implement and execute indirect category strategies for a variety of business areas, aligning this to the overarching Procurement strategy and objectives and to the overall ambitions of the organisation
Identify and realise value creation opportunities within the category areas through effective relationships with key stakeholders and Suppliers
Ensure goods and services are efficiently sourced and procured in a way that creates the best value for the company
The person we hope to find
Category management experience is important, ideally across indirect services
Proven experience in managing ‘cradle to grave’ sourcing projects within marketing is critical
Degree qualified is preferable and CIPS is advantageous but not a must have
Proven experience in working in a fast moving and result driven environment which demands to work under pressure.
Strong negotiation skills and good interpersonal and relationship building skills is important
This is a challenging and exciting role for an individual looking to help build out the global procurement strategy. If you thrive operating in a non-mandated environment and inquisitive by nature, which allows you to be proactive and identify opportunities/savings then this could be the role for you!
