It is very important that you can build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers alike. You must also be the first point of contact for new suppliers and ensure that all are following the Council’s procurement procedure rules. You will also be involved in the training and development of other team members of procurement legislations and best practice.

You will work with the Procurement support role to manage spend analysis and look at opportunities for collaboration, contract management, supplier sharing and frameworks to make financial savings. You will also take an active role in the Surrey Procurement Network and attend meetings and feedback to GBC.
