They are looking for an Administrator Lead to join their procurement team in Bedfordshire on a hybrid basis, 2 days in the office and the rest of the week remotely. You will be responsible for managing 4 other administrators in the team and for the delivery of an effective Procurement and Supply Chain Administration Service to support the operational activities of the business and the Procurement & Supply Chain Team, and to identify operational and administrative procurement requirements and activities and support the development and implementation of appropriate policy, processes, and reporting mechanisms to ensure a compliant and effective operation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage an effective Procurement Administration function.
Purchase Order Raising
Vendor/Product/Catalogue Management
General administration and queries
Contract process and contract database renewals and supplier requests
Rostering team hours and leave and other general administration requirements.
To identify operational and administrative procurement requirements and activities
To continually seek to develop and improve processes to drive efficient working practices.
Document and implement formal processes for all agreed operational and administrative activities.
Provide guidance, training and advice on procurement operational requirements and processes.
Develop and implement methods to monitor internal compliance to operational processes.
Develop and implement reports to provide insight into compliance against internal processes and activities.
Develop and implement internal/external KPI’s to ensure Procurement queries are managed quickly and effectively.
Train and support members of the wider Procurement Team to manage and comply with operational processes
Manage, coach, and develop team members
Support the development of global procurement initiatives and their local delivery
Skills and experience required
General Management experience
5+ years’ experience in a wide-ranging administration support role, ideally in a procurement team healthcare setting.
Good understanding of the procure to pay process, including catalogue management, ordering and invoice management
Developing/running business administration processes
Identifying/creating/documenting policies and processes
Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Good communication/customer service skills
Use of E-Procurement Systems
Track record of delivering projects to deadlines
Demonstrable project management skills
